While our Eichendorff is very diligent under saddle, we have to go to great lengths to keep Eviva Espana in a good mood. We do this by trying to keep lots of variety in her daily schedule. Training every day? That's not for "Evi". She prefers to alternate between work and day dreaming – and insists on being fed on time. If you respect her wishes, Eviva Espana is a fantastic dressage horse. Her recent achievements such as winning the Dressage Winter Cup and the Austrian Grand Prix inspection impressively prove what she can do.
Eviva Espana's career began in 1998 in the Brillantring of the year's best mares at the Oldenburg Elite Broodmare Show in Rastede. At the Elite Auction in Vechta she was fittingly described in the catalogue as a "dressage prospect à la brilliant" and we brought her to Schloss Achleiten from the auction. In 2005 Evi demonstrated her special class by winning her very first Grand Prix. Ribbons from the international stage have meanwhile been added.
As impressive as she can be in the dressage ring, she has a tendency to bolt when honors are awarded or she's presented in hand. And while she's "leaving", she bumps into whatever is in the way which is why we jokingly call her "Rumpelliese" [ Miss Clumsy).
