Mini-Fieber

IMG_ALT

We've all been infected by Mini-Fieber (translates as "mini fever"). Wizard and his first love get a work-out every day and lunging them is sure funny. He goes around the circle like a good boy and she follows right behind from the correct distance.

But if you think our minis are just absolving an exercise program, you're entirely wrong. Wizard is lunged with draw reins. We had to get such tiny reins for minis first so that he learns to stretch downward.  My mother has already started working him in hand and Wizard now shows the beginnings of piaffe. We're going to need some help with the circus movements of which he can already to the "compliment" because we don't know much about that.

Our horses have acknowledged the two minis without any problem. More of a problem was making the stables meet their needs: we had to shorten the doors so that they can look out and their water cups had to be lowered. Even the blankets from our Shetland ponies are much too big for them.
