Steyr: First Place with Reve, Second Place with Wintermärchen

My debut with Reve d'Amour in Steyr went just super: First place in the advanced (S) level dressage with more than 71 percent. Second place went to his stable mate, Wintermärchen, a fabulous achievement for her first start in advanced level.
Before I rode into the ring today with Reve d'Amour, a horse fly must have bit him because he got awfully excited all of a sudden and started to kick. He fortunately calmed down before it was my turn and he went through the movements without making any mistakes, although I didn't take advantage of his full potential.
Wintermärchen got a bit hot during the test and made little mistakes in the flying change tour and in the extended canter - which unfortunately counted. But she just needs some more routine in tests and will learn.
