We usually take our whole stable to shows. From hoof pick to stable blanket, from feed to garden chair — to be honest, it's usually too much. We get the horses ready for the show at home already.
To be able to accustom the horses to the surroundings at the respective show, we arrive a day in advance. Preparation for the competition depends on the starting times and training possibilities. It is very important to me that the horses enter the competition arena being supple but by no means tired. Therefore, I only need 20-30 minutes for the direct preparation. Weinrausch and August der Starke are usually worked properly three hours before the test, so that they present themselves well. My father then gives me last tips and hints.
My parents are always very tense too, and after my performance we analyse it together. Their review is just as important to me as the judges' protocol. After all, I want to learn a lot more and a showis actually only a check of the work you have done during training at home.
