FEI Meeting in Portugal

My mother didn't go with us on our short trip to south Tyrol. She was in Portugal last week at a FEI meeting to discuss the 2008 Olympic Games and the conditions for the WEG in Hong Kong. It has been determined that the climatic conditions for the horses are to be optimized at great expense; air conditions will be put in the stables. The horses will need a longer period to get used to the hot, humid climate.

Still No Foal

Our Liebelei (by Diamond Hit-Sion) is taking her time foaling, even though it looks like she could explode any minute, she has such an extended belly. We're expecting a foal by Blue Hors Romanov.

Dortmund/GER: Augustin Second in the Inter I

We were simply sensational in the Inter I today: a trot tour that couldn't have been better – energetic and expressive. The walk was also very good. But Augustin wasn't quite with me in the canter. He neighed a couple times and let himself be distracted by some noise which led to a couple small errors in the flying changes. But he still did a great job anyway in Dortmund/GER. With 69.33 percent he was only beaten by Isabell Werth on Fuchsberger (69.58 percent).

Preparation for Dortmund/GER

Right now I’m preparing for the show next week in Germany. After a short pause and more work on the basics, especially in the flying changes, Salieri is in top form. Falcao is also in a good mood and up to par.
